Dr. Charley Gordon Uncovers the Hidden, Appreciates the Unseen in His New Book, In Plain Sight

Written by neurosurgeon and scientist Dr. Charley Gordon, In Plain Sight illuminates the natural beauty that exists all around us through forty devotionals examining and contemplating the mysterious, surprising, and oftentimes moving similarities that exist naturally within the universe.

Stunning images accompanying Dr. Gordon's words and meditations follow the same spiral found in seashells and roses, the same curve that marks the shape of galaxies and hurricanes. Even objects as seemingly unrelated as brain cells and oak trees find similarity in their design, with zigzagged and crooked branches extending upward and outward from central trunks.

In Plain Sight and its forerunner, DesignedonPurpose.com, were inspired by Dr. Gordon's mission to reignite his sense of wonder in God's creation, something which he had nurtured as a student, but neglected over time. "Years ago in medical school," he says, "I was so immersed in my studies that the anatomical and cellular world became as everyday to me as the scenery on my drive home."

Building upon this initial experience, Dr. Gordon has dedicated himself in this book to exploring the unlikely, but undeniable similarities, styles, and patterns that serve to remind us of life's greater purpose.
