Infomerical Company Teams with Record Label to Form New Model for Music Distribution

Star Creek Records & Stardust Presents sign groundbreaking, multi-million dollar TV distribution deal.

Los Angeles, CA, January 29, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Setting out to change the face of music distribution and dramatically increase CD sales, Star Creek Records has signed a multi-million dollar deal with the television broadcasting company Stardust Presents. As a result of the partnership, Star Creek Records sheds its independent status and becomes a major record label, with offices on the East and West Coast.

“Star Creek Records is delighted to partner with a great company like Stardust
Presents,” said Michaud. “We believe this venture is going to provide unbelievable opportunities for artists to expose their music on television to millions of people. We’re forging a new frontier and creating a new model.”

Star Creek Records, which is co-owned by music industry veterans Randolph Michaud and Luanne Hunt, opened its doors in July of 2009. It very quickly gained a diverse genre roster that includes the 1960s classic rock band The Royal Guardsmen, West Coast country music legend Larry Dean and the up-and-coming Christian rock band Altar’d, based in Alexandria, Louisiana.

“We are thrilled to have a forward thinking partner in Star Creek Records who fully understand the power of presenting their artists direct to our network affiliations of over 85 million homes,” said Mark Liddell, President of Stardust Presents. “This is going to be big.”

Stardust Presents is a subsidiary of Stardust Broadcasting, which has been making television infomercials for over 20 years. Among the Phoenix-based company’s greatest success stories are DermalTone and The Murray Grey Foundation.

In the late 1990s, DermalTone sold more than $100 million worth of product through Stardust’s nationwide commercials. In 2009, a single 60-second spot for The Murray Grey Foundation brought in $128,000.

“This kind of success proves there’s no better avenue of promotion than television,” said Liddell. “And it’s going to work with music, too. We are expecting CD sales to rise dramatically using this method of distribution."

In the coming months, Star Creek Records will continue to add artists to its all-genre roster and expand its reach around the globe. More information about the label can be accessed at: www.starcreekrecords.com. To learn more about Stardust Presents, log on to: www.stardustpresents.com

“With the help of Stardust Presents, we can set a whole new precedent for the way music is marketed,” said Michaud. “To us, this is far better than any other method of distribution. When you are putting an artist's music in over 85 million homes, big things are bound to happen.”
