NTT Com Asia’s Hong Kong Data Centre Gains Recognition at Hong Kong ICT Awards 2009: Best Collaboration (Overseas Market)
Hong Kong, Hong Kong S.A.R., January 30, 2010 --(PR.com)-- NTT Com Asia, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTT Communications Corporation, today announces that its Hong Kong Data Centre has been awarded the 2009 Hong Kong ICT Bronze Award for Best Collaboration (Overseas Market). This award is a testament to the Data Centre’s outstanding teamwork and collaboration which enabled it to win in overseas ICT markets. The Award Presentation Ceremony was held on the 19th January at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Distinguished attending guests included Mr. John Tsang Chun-Wah, JP, Financial Secretary; Mrs. Rita Lau Ng Wai-lan, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development as well as Mr. Duncan Pescod, Permanent Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development (Communications & Technology).
The internationally recognized Hong Kong ICT Awards are coordinated and administered by the Organizing Committee, chaired by Mr. Jeremy Godfrey, the Government’s Chief Information Officer. The committee also consists of professionals from the telecommunications industry, the world of academia as well as the Hong Kong Government. The Best Collaboration Award is a commendation of outstanding performance and management with strategic partners which enable enterprises’ long-term growth in overseas as well as China ICT markets. Leveraging on the parent company’s top tier network and NTT Com Asia’s expertise in data centre infrastructure design and management, NTT Com Asia’s Hong Kong Data Centre has been able to take the lead in a tough competition and capture this prestigious award.

To-date, it has received ISO/IEC 27001:2005 information security management system (ISMS) certification as well as the ISO 9001:2008 quality management system certification.
