Silver Spring Foods will use the DEACOM ERP System to manage its recipe management, quality control/quality assurance, accounting, lot tracking/inventory control, purchasing, sales order entry, and production processes.

Family owned and operated for 80 years, Eau Claire, WI-based Silver Spring Foods produces fresh horseradish and horseradish sauces for the retail, food service, private label, and industrial markets. The company also makes a variety of specialty mustards, for which it has recently been named one of America's fastest growing brands.

Silver Spring Foods will be replacing several software systems that were used to handle its business. As the systems used separate databases and were not innately developed for the food manufacturing industry, processes such as Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and multi-level Bill of Material (BOM) lot tracking required customization support from multiple vendors. Reporting also involved a great deal of customization, to the point that it became a full-time activity.
