Northwestern Johnston County and Southeastern Wake County Welcome the Launch of Trinity United Methodist Church

Garner, NC, January 28, 2010 --(PR.com)-- In less than two weeks, the growing area affectionately known as 40/42 in Garner/Cleveland Township/Clayton will see the launch of another United Methodist Church, one that identifies itself as Trinity, where “We do life together.”

Lead Pastor, David Wehrle, and a congregation on average of 60 attendees (40 adults and 20 children) have been worshiping together each week at the Kid’s Clubhouse on 10525 Cleveland Road in Garner (behind the Dollar General) since its very first service on October 18, 2009. And while one might consider that as having already launched the new church, it’s really not.

“Typically, when a ministry decides to plant a church, there is always what is referred to as a ‘soft launch’,” says David Wehrle, “where the purpose is to introduce to the community the worship opportunities and experience that we provide for them where we can also engage with our members and guests discovering what they like, don’t like, what works for them, etc.”

Trinity’s motto is “We do life together... following Jesus” and as such, its ministry is primarily made up of three elements: worship on Sunday mornings, small groups during the week, and servant evangelism projects within the local community each month. Trinity’s goal is to “build deeper relationships with Jesus by becoming the people God made us to be through sharing Jesus with others.”

Families get a whole half hour devoted to them during the “Fam Jam” time at 9:30 in the kids play area. Worshiping to music, spreading the message in the form of a “Big Idea”, and partaking in a creative activity that drives home that message is what Fam Jam is all about. The children then get thirty minutes of small group activity followed by supervised play in any one of the three giant blow-up apparatuses, play the Wii or continue working on the projects they started during Fam Jam.

Regular worship time begins at 10am in the room next door in a relaxed atmosphere and a contemporary style format complete with contemporary Christian music combined with traditional hymns and even some choice secular music to top off the message for the week. Trinity engages in worship that builds communities and relationships in Christ.

The official launch of Trinity United Methodist Church will begin the first Sunday in February – February 7th and continue for the three Sundays thereafter with a special message series celebrating the vision of Trinity. Invitation is open to anyone in the 40/42 area looking for a chance to grow in their faith in an informal setting.
