Katie Jay to Speak at Seattle Bash Weight Loss Surgery Conference Plus Exclusive Pre-Event Seminar

Seattle, WA, January 30, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Katie Jay, founder and director of the National Association for Weight Loss Surgery (www.NAWLS.com), has been invited to present at the seventh annual Seattle Bash Weight Loss Surgery Conference as part of its spring agenda, and will additionally offer an exclusive, first-of-its-kind seminar before the doors open.

The event will take place March 11-14, 2010, at the Seattle Airport Marriott. Jay, a veteran speaker, will debut her pre-event talk: Be a Weight Loss Surgery Rock Star! How to Stage a Comeback Even When Your Surgery Fails You (and You Feel Like a Has-Been) to WLS patients who are expected from across the nation.

The new presentation discusses how to stage a comeback when you feel like a failure after WLS. “No matter where you are on your WLS journey, you’ll enjoy this presentation packed with vital information,” says Jay.

Jay will explain why surgeries may fail and how you can prevail despite your circumstances. Her seminar will include: The WLS Stages of Transformation™: Maybe you don’t need a comeback… Maybe you were never gone!

Jay will also be speaking during the Seattle Bash conference. She will present, Fix me! (A Fairy Tale): How to Discover Your Inner Strength, Blast Your Old Beliefs, and Create Your Own Happy Ending.

Jay has presented at the national conferences for both the National Association for Bariatric Nurses (NABN) and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), as well as at countless hospitals and bariatric support groups nationwide.

She founded NAWLS in 2005. The association is a safe, non-judgmental, online community of bariatric surgery patients who struggle with weight maintenance and regain, sugar and carbohydrate sensitivity, transfer addictions, emotional eating, and eating disorders.

Katie Jay, who holds an MSW and is a certified life and wellness coach, is also a bariatric surgery patient maintaining a 180-pound weight loss. She is an advocate for patient support because she understands firsthand the challenges of the WLS lifestyle. The association provides comprehensive and personal support including retreats and workshops for patients and bariatric professionals, coaching, teleseminars, books, classes, and more.
