The TANDBERG Fieldview™ Product Line Will be Transitioned to the Librestream Onsight Mobile Collaboration System
Winnipeg, MB, Canada, January 30, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Librestream, the leader in Mobile Collaboration and manufacturer of the TANDBERG FieldView product line, is pleased to announce that its Onsight branded mobile collaboration system will be provided to TANDBERG’s customers to replace the FieldView branded system as of July 1, 2010. The Onsight and FieldView branded systems are functionally equivalent offerings. The only difference is the brand name.
Librestream had first entered into a private label agreement with TANDBERG in 2006 to offer its mobile collaboration system through TANDBERG under the brand FieldView. As Librestream’s own Onsight branded mobile system expanded to include new products and software enhancements, the companies decided that partners and customers would be best served by working directly with Librestream.
Kerry Thacher, CEO of Librestream, explained, “When we decided to launch our mobile collaboration system through TANDBERG three years ago, we expected that the relationship would transition to reference selling at some point. Both companies felt that this was the time for customers to work directly with the dedicated manufacturer of the FieldView system.”
Until July 1, customers and partners will have the option of purchasing from TANDBERG or Librestream. After July 1, customers and partners will work directly with Librestream. During this transition period, both companies are committed to providing uninterrupted service. As well, FieldView customers with active support contracts will be offered upgrades to the latest Onsight software at no charge.
“Our product lines are highly complementary and we remain committed to ensuring that Onsight remains compatible with TANDBERG’s product line. We are looking forward to helping FieldView customers maximize the value of their investment,” added Mr. Thacher.
