Company Appoints New Hotel General Managers

Hoi An, Vietnam, January 30, 2010 --(PR.com)-- As part of a major strategic move, the Hoi An Tourist Service Joint Stock Company has as of 1 January 2010 appointed two new high-profile General Managers for their flagship hotel properties in Hoi An, Quang Nam Province, Vietnam.

With a market share of 10% and almost 50,000 domestic and international clients served in crisis stricken 2009, the company is one of the leading local tourism and hospitality service providers in the area. Hoi An Tourist Service Joint Stock Company owns and operates the 4 star Hoi An Hotel with 166 rooms in prime downtown location, as well as the 4 star deluxe Hoi An Beach Resort with 121 rooms, ideally nestled between ocean front and river bend. The company operates further a successful travel agency and laundry enterprise and has as well a third 5 star hotel property in planning.

Appointed as General Manager for the Hoi An Hotel was Mr. Le Huy Khang, a Vietnamese national and local resident with extensive hotel management experience. Formerly General Manager of Hoi An Trails Resort and Director of Sales and Marketing of renowned Life Resort Hoi An, he combines charm and hospitality of the people with international standards. “Being in a transition period, we are destined to embark to new horizons. And so it goes for the second luxury property, the Hoi An Beach Resort. There, Mr. Kai Marcus Schröter from Germany has taken the reign. A seasoned hotel executive and general manager with international experience, he fell in love with Vietnam in 1998. His background is with such illustre hotel groups as InterContinental and Holiday Inn. A sought after pre-opening specialist, hospitality consultant and tourism advisor in the region, his philosophy for the Hoi An Beach Resort is as simple as it is convincing: “Not just a resort – but a lifetime experience”.

Under both general manager’s leadership, the properties will undergo comprehensive rebranding, renovation and upgrade of facilities in 2010/ 11.
