National Recording Artist Launches XCEL Fellowship Church in Oxford, North Carolina

Oxford, NC, February 01, 2010 --(PR.com)-- National recording artist Frank Henderson has started a new, exciting, diverse, teaching church in Oxford, NC. The name of the new church is XCEL Fellowship Church. Frank Henderson is known worldwide for his album, “Urban Inspiration”, released in 2002 from his own indie label, M2Music, Inc. Henderson is married to a former Oxford resident, Shawanda Greer-Henderson, and is overjoyed at the response that he has received from Oxford residents even though the majority of his ministry exposure has been via internet and radio. “I'm learning that many residents of Oxford are excited about what XCEL will bring to this incredible city”, states Henderson. Admittedly, uncertain about starting a church in Oxford, “Initially, I felt that no one in Oxford wanted the type of ministry that God had called me to do and I allowed those reservations to delay God’s will for XCEL Fellowship Church”, states the Pastor.

The vision for XCEL Fellowship Church developed while Frank Henderson struggled with the question, “Why are so many of today’s churches making the relationship with God hard and complex? The relationship between a person and The Father should be simple. The Word says, “Knock and the door shall be opened, Ask and you shall receive, and keep my commandments and you will abide in my Love” meaning any individual that is truly seeking a relationship with Him can have it. There is no secret; the Word of God tells you what to do. Thus, this vision for XCEL is endeavoring to do what Jesus has asked of the Church, which is to Reach the lost, Equip the saints with powerful knowledge and Release them into ministry. Henderson feels that too many people are sitting around on “pause” waiting for something incredible to happen in their lives. Henderson will teach how a relationship with God causes one to press, “play” and then experience a significant, life-altering change in themselves and their city that happens by the hand of God.
