The American Heart Association of Oregon/SW Washington search for cardiovascular event survivor or loved one to receive “Cinderella Treatment” including custom gown, makeover & jewels from Tiffany & Co.* Submit your story at www.pdxheartball.org
Portland, OR, February 03, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Jewels, Makeover, Gown in Place for American Heart Association’s 2010 Heart Ball; Search for Princess Begins.
Next month, the American Heart Association’s 14th Annual Heart Ball will be more than just a gala affair for Portland’s black-tie crowd. Thanks to generous sponsors, it also will be the experience of a lifetime for one lucky survivor and his or her date. Now the Association is challenged with finding the most deserving “Princess” (or “Prince!”) to fit the fairy tale.
“Heart disease and stroke are the number one and number three killer of women and men today,” says Heart Ball Chair Pat Becker, Jr. “Fortunately, there are many survivors in our region who have stories to share – stories that will inspire lifestyle changes for others who are at risk. We’re asking survivors, or who have become advocates in light of a personal experience, to share their tale with us, so we can honor them with a night to remember.”
Individuals who have survived a cardiovascular event, or who survive a loved one lost to the disease, are encouraged to share their stories with the American Heart Association of Oregon/SW Washington. The Association will accept submissions until February 4, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. PT through their web site at www.pdxheartball.org. One name will be drawn at random on February 5, revealing the lucky person who will receive:
- Red-carpet worthy jewels on loan from Tiffany & Co.*
- Custom-made gown provided by Bon Lou Couture by Cindy Talyor
- Elegant shoes donated by Macy’s
- Hair and makeup provided by Robert’s of Portland
- Professional portrait photography provided by Alex Maynes Photography
- Tuxedo courtesy of Mr. Formal
- Overnight accommodations courtesy of The Governor Hotel
- And of course, all the food, fanfare and festivities of the 14th Annual Heart Ball – A Toast to Good Health.
After being properly adorned by the participating sponsors, the chosen “Cinderella” or “Prince Charming” and her or his date will be whisked away via limousine to the Heart Ball at Portland’s Governor Hotel on February 20, 2010. There, they will be treated to an evening of five-star fare, wine tasting, dancing, and recognition.
