Landmark Golf Club at Avalon Announces New General Manager
Avalon Golf Club and Community is pleased to announce the appointment of their new General Manager, Joseph Dale Hough Jr.
Lenoir City, TN, February 02, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Avalon Golf Club and Community is pleased to announce the appointment of their new General Manager, Joseph Dale Hough Jr.
Hough assumed his new role as General Manager and Head Golf Professional on Monday, February 1, 2010. Most recently, Hough was the General Manager and Vice President of the Oldfield Club in Okatie, South Carolina located next to Hilton Head Island. The 860 acre Private Club Community was the first venture for Crescent Resources in the Hilton Head area. Oldfield has received several awards including “Best new Private Club” and the “Audubon International” award for its harmony and balance with development and nature. Hough served as the Clubs first General Manager and has held similar positions at other prestigious Country Clubs and Resorts across the country. Hough has more than 30 years of experience in the Club management business and has worked for some very well-known Developers and Club Management companies. Included in his portfolio of previous employers are Landmark Land Company, Castle & Cooke, Club Corp, Western Golf Properties and Crescent Resources, all very well distinguished organizations in the hospitality industry.
“The opportunity to move back to the Knoxville area is truly a dream come true for me,” Hough says. Formally educated at the University of Tennessee, Hough received a scholarship and played football for the Vols from 1975-1978. Joe and his wife Lil have been married for 25 years and have two daughters Amanda and Katie. “Both of my daughters are currently working towards their degrees at the University of Tennessee.”
