Barrie, Ontario, Canada, February 04, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Photography Corner ( www.PhotographyCorner.com ) has announced that Faisal Almalki is the winner of the February 2010 Photograph of the Month contest. The winning photo was chosen by site members from a total of fifeteen nominated photographs with almost one quarter of the votes.
Faisal won the latest photograph of the month contest with a photo titled "Beyond." The winning photo depicted the bottom of a giraffe, with the shadow of its neck and head against a brick wall. This was the fifth Photograph of the Month award received by Faisal, in addition to recently winning the 2009 Photograph of the Year contest. For winning the PhotographyCorner.com February 2010 Photograph of the Month, Faisal was awarded the NYIP's Fundamentals of Digital Photography Course provided by the New York Institute of Photography.
Faisal, was featured as the cover story in the February 2010 issue of emel magazine, is one of the most promising amateur photographers to come out of the PhotographyCorner.com community. With 2 Contest Corner Challenge wins, 5 Photograph of the Month honors, a Runner-Up placement in the 2008 Photograph of the Year contest, and the winner of the 2009 Photograph of the Year contest, Faisal has become one of the most popular and most decorated photographers on PhotographyCorner. Interestingly enough, while only 5%-10% of his photographs are of animals, all 5 of his Photograph of the Month winning photographs are of animals: zebra, elephant, horse, camel and giraffe.
Photograph of the Month contests at www.PhotographyCorner.com are held in the community’s forum, where site members are able to post their photos for consideration.
