North Jersey Beauty Salons Unite to Fundraise Money to Help Haiti
Haircuts for Haiti events donate 100% of proceeds to UNICEF for Haiti relief efforts
Livingston, NJ, February 04, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Hip Event, LLC announces the Dieci Lifestyle Spa in-salon Haircuts for Haiti event on February 9th from 5pm to 9pm to benefit UNICEF’s relief efforts in Haiti.
The Haircuts for Haiti event will feature a number of salon and spa services provided to guests at a discounted rate, with 100% of proceeds donated to UNICEF for their Haiti relief efforts. Dieci Lifestyle Spa will offer guests the following services: Eyebrow & lip wax, manicures, mini-facials, massages, paraffin treatments, hair cuts, color gloss & condition, mini make-up lesson, chair massage and blowouts. Salon technicians are also all encouraged to donate their tips from the night’s event to UNICEF.
“After seeing the devastation in Haiti, we really wanted to find a way to get involved in fundraising efforts for the people,” says Paul Gaglioti, co-owner of Dieci Lifestyle Spa in Livingston, NJ. “We knew that our best bet would be to get our customers involved in the giving process. By donating the proceeds of these services, we’re able to help out where it’s needed most. We’re not expecting to raise millions of dollars, but a little can go a long way, and we are trying to help in anyway possible.”
Gaglioti called on his salon industry friends including the owners of Bangz Salon and Wellness Spa, Antonio’s Salon and Spa, Panico Salon and Spa and Sarracino Salon and Spa at Mira’s to provide technicians for participation in the event. Local jewelry store, Dandy Lion Jewelry, will be selling select pieces during the event, donating all proceeds to UNICEF. This combined effort of area salons and vendors will bring greater awareness and funding to help the victims in Haiti.
Complimentary food and refreshments will be provided by local restaurants including Jerusalem Restaurant, Super Duper Bagels and It’s Greek To Me and local retailers will be donating gift certificates and items to be raffled off for guests.
Dieci Lifestyle Spa is consistently involved with various charitable organizations. Most recently, they have donated time, money, and services to benefit the Cinderella’s Closet, Jersey Battered Women’s Service, Connie Dwyer Breast Center and Susan G. Komen for the Cure®.
