A Sweet Valentine’s Day Treat

CounterCultureBeauty.com Launches on Valentine’s Day

Atlanta, GA, February 05, 2010 --(PR.com)-- With a myriad of new blogs entering the blogosphere on any given day, it can be quite daunting to even think about launching a new site. Luckily, Linda Ripoll, a beauty writer with over twelve years experience didn’t let that stop her from taking the plunge and launching a unique beauty blog that is both near and dear to her heart. “CounterCultureBeauty.com is a blend of two passions of mine that happen to make a beautiful synergy together – beauty and biracial/multiracial identity,” explains Ripoll.

As a multiracial woman, Ripoll has experienced the oftentimes challenging issues regarding beauty and self-esteem and wanted to create a blog that addressed these issues head on while also offering her readers a chance to learn about the latest products, trends and beauty tips. “When it comes to being mixed race, we have different concerns for our hair, skin and makeup. We can’t use products traditionally marketed towards white women or products made for black women. We are a blend of both and sometimes other races as well and need products that are sensitive to that fact,” states Ripoll.

CounterCultureBeauty.com is a blog that highlights the best of the beauty world for today’s biracial and multiracial woman. There are six “counters” readers can visit for their daily dose of beauty news, product reviews, trend reports and industry insider interviews. The seven “counters” include hair, skin, makeup, bath and body, fragrance, spa and children. “The section for children is what I am really excited about since this will be an amazing resource for mothers of biracial and multiracial children who are seeking information about hair and skin care products for their little girls and boys. It will take a lot of the guesswork out of how to properly care for their little ones,” states Ripoll.

CounterCultureBeauty.com is set to officially launch on Valentine’s Day.
