New Engineering Director for Sovex
Conveyor specialist Sovex has appointed David Chance as its new Engineering Director. He joins the company at a time of rapid expansion. 2010 will be an exciting year for the company.
Prenton, United Kingdom, February 06, 2010 --(PR.com)-- David Chance takes on the role of Sovex’s new Engineering Director with immediate effect. Following its takeover of FKI Conveyors last December, the company is expanding its team to cope with a sudden influx of orders. 2010 promises to be a busy year for Sovex.
David is now responsible for Sovex’s Service & Maintenance department. He will organise internal systems and processes, such as the procurement and issue of spare parts, and manage the company’s tailored operational maintenance contracts.
Operational maintenance contracts from Sovex help companies look after conveyor equipment, leaving them free to concentrate on primary business activities. David will tend to existing customers and attract new ones through marketing initiatives.
Just a few weeks into his new role, David is relishing the challenge; “Sovex has a loyal, enthusiastic workforce and supplies reliable high-quality products. These are the main reasons for its rapid expansion, and I am excited to be a part of it. I have a strong background in service engineering and I am looking forward to growing this side of the business.”
David comes from a large facilities management company, where he spent over thirty years in a variety of engineering and maintenance based positions. These include account and project management, and business development. He has extensive experience of conveying systems and their components.
David has ambitious plans for 2010; “I intend to develop Sovex’s service and maintenance infrastructure and push our OM contracts to potential customers. I will also assign existing customers individual account managers. Giving them a single point of contact with the company will enhance the service they receive.”
