Lovell Named Interim Executive Director of Eden Autism Services Florida
Fort Myers, FL, February 04, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Lauren Lovell, BCBA, has been named Interim Executive Director of Eden Autism Services Florida.
Lovell has more than 30 years of experience working with children and adults with behavioral and emotional disorders including autism in public school systems including Lee County. A board certified behavior analyst, she earned a master’s degree in Education Administration and Supervision from the University of South Florida and completed a doctoral study there in Special Education Program Development. She also served as an adjunct instructor for Nova Southeastern University for six years.
“Finding the perfect candidate to be the Florida school’s next executive director is an important task for our board,” says Dr. Tom McCool, Eden President and CEO. “We are fortunate to have someone with Lauren’s experience and background to serve in the interim.” Lovell has been with Eden Autism Services Florida for three years, first as a consulting behavior analyst for the school and adult programs, and then as Assistant Director of Clinic and Children’s Services.
Lovell is involved in several organizations devoted to behavioral disorders. She served as president of the Council for Exceptional Children’s Gulf Coast Chapter for two years. She is also a member of the Florida Council for Children with Behavioral Disorders and has been recognized for her work by the Florida Council for Exceptional Children.
