Pegasus Lighting Becomes an Illuminating Engineering Society Sustaining Member
Pegasus Associates Lighting has become a Sustaining Member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America helping to further lighting research, education projects, and other endeavors to communicate all aspects of good lighting practices.
Beaver Falls, PA, February 05, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Pegasus Associates Lighting has become a Sustaining Member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA). By becoming a Sustaining Member, Pegasus Lighting will help further lighting research, education projects, and other endeavors designed to communicate all aspects of good lighting practices to lighting professionals and lighting consumers.
Dr. Thomas E. Farin, president and founder of Pegasus Lighting, said he has “always believed that research, teaching, learning, and discussion are extremely important components of anyone’s profession,” which is why he wanted to increase the company’s support for the IESNA, the recognized technical authority on illumination for over 100 years. Dr. Farin has been an active individual member of the IESNA since 1993 but now he thought it was time that his company became more supportive of the mission of the IESNA.
The IESNA provides a way for the various lighting professionals to collaborate together through research and discussions about lighting. The society offers formal educational programs and prints nearly 100 publications. By electing to become a Sustaining Member, Pegasus Lighting will provide additional support for the society to carry out its mission and help facilitate important contributions to technical, educational, and research activities.
