Michelle’s Angels Foundation Honors New Angel Artist -- TonJa Rose, Winter 2010

Clarence, NY, February 08, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Michelle’s Angels Foundation Inc. (MAF) today announced its third designated Angel Artist: TonJa Rose of Nashville. Rose follows singer-songwriters Kim Parent and Nicole Witt as a featured musical artist on the foundation’s website. Visitors to the foundation’s website, MichellesAngels.com, will be able to listen to TonJa Rose’s gift of music free of any charges or fees.

The Michelle’s Angels Artists are recognized for their help through their music to so many people who quietly suffer. Many of the ill live with their challenges without any support or assistance from others. Together with their need for human services, many need help restoring their faith or embracing hope for brighter days or to simply know someone cares. MAF Angel Artists accomplish this and more by making their music available to those who suffer. They share messages of faith, love and hope. They do this without any compensation or remuneration.

Winter MAF Angel Artist, TonJa Rose, took the stage at the age of three – singing “Jesus on the Mainline” with her father’s gospel quartet in Pinetown, North Carolina. She’s been singing ever since. After moving to Nashville, she began songwriting in earnest, drawing inspiration from her own life, the people around her, and her deeply felt personal beliefs.

TonJa says, “If I want my songs to be true, they have to come from real life experiences so others can relate. I want my words to touch people’s hearts. I want my songs to have a positive effect on people and give them exactly what they need when they need it."

Through friend and fellow song writer and MAF Musical Director, Ken Harrell, TonJa was invited to sing at a Michelle’s Angels benefit at The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville in 2005. She has been an active contributor and supporter ever since.

“I thought I knew Michelle,” TonJa recalls. “I was even asked to sing at her memorial service. That day, I learned even more about all that she had done for others--even while she was ill. Her example inspired me. I thought, ‘What if I changed a life and made a difference with my music, just as Michelle did with her smile.’”

In addition to appearing on the Michelle’s Angels website, TonJa has shared playbills with Gretchen Wilson, Trace Adkins, Tanya Tucker and others in venues large and small.
