Minicom Secures Investment from Intel Capital
Intel Capital’s investment allows Minicom to further expand its product range, and enhance its KVM and Digital Signage sales and customer service support centers worldwide.
Jerusalem, Israel, October 27, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Minicom Advanced Systems Ltd., developer and manufacturer of digital and analog solutions for KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) server management, announced that it has received an investment from Intel Capital. Details of the deal were not disclosed.
Minicom products feature out-of-band access to servers, enabling system administrators to maintain vital control when system problems arise. The company is also a leading expert in the development of audio/video (AV), and serial distribution systems, which are essential for cost-effective installation and maintenance of in-store advertising and public display networks for the growing Digital Signage market.
Intel Capital’s investment allows Minicom to further expand its product range, and enhance its KVM and Digital Signage sales and customer service support centers worldwide. “Minicom is an innovative vendor in the growing KVM market,” said Joel Fisch, investment manager with Intel Capital.
