Onda was created by a biotech engineer and inventor whose three children commuted through college by bicycle, even though none of them really enjoyed riding bikes. He believed there must be a better way to go from point A to B on campus, and on other short distances. Bicycles have to be parked and locked outside. Kick scooters were too childish. Motor scooters are heavy and need fuel, and longboards just don’t move fast enough, and they are heavy and awkward to carry around.
