GadBall Ranked as a Top-Rated Site in the U.S. Department of Labor’s Tools for America’s Job Seeker’s Challenge
Newport Beach, CA, February 10, 2010 --(PR.com)-- GadBall (http://www.GadBall.com), a Career Portal for job seekers, was recognized as a top-rated site on February 2, 2010 as the U.S. Department of Labor released the results of its Tools for America’s Job Seeker’s Challenge. The Challenge received more than 16,000 votes and comments from the public.
GadBall assists job seekers in attaining meaningful employment in the shortest amount of time by integrating social media with content and tools for job seekers to simplify the job search process. By leveraging partnerships with employers, employment sites and job boards, GadBall provides targeted direction to a vast array of resources hidden throughout the web to enable job seekers to focus their efforts where they are most likely to yield the best results. No other employment related website has access to the extensive technologies and job board partnerships that provide the depth of resources available to job seekers on GadBall.
The site currently hosts over 300,000 active profiles, and even before the DOL Challenge both the State of Texas’ WorkInTexas website and the State of Utah’s Department of Workforce Services directly linked their job seekers to GadBall. “We are pleased the Department of Labor has recognized GadBall,” says Keith Duarte, President of Data Frenzy, “We built the site in collaboration with numerous partners and employers with the intent of designing a single place on the internet to help people navigate the overwhelming amount of noise directed towards job seekers. There is a huge need for a service like this, and we are continuing to evolve our site to fill that need. Hopefully this acknowledgement will propel other states and workforce centers to offer GadBall to their users.”
Two of the many resources available on GadBall are resume building assistance and a comprehensive job search, both of which help illustrate the extent of assistance GadBall provides. GadBall features automated tools to assist in quickly building a resume using templates integrated from the DOL with occupation specific text that a user can append to a resume in one click. Social media collaboration with Twitter and Facebook allows users to publish resumes to their social networks and receive advice and constructive criticism from their colleagues, friends and peers. Automated contextual analysis software provides a competitive advantage over other job seekers; the software evaluates every word of a resume document in relation to every other word in the document and assigns a document score to the resume. “Here’s a secret today’s job seekers need to know – the vast majority of employers use contextual scoring software to process all resumes upon receipt. We know because we score and rank millions of resumes each month for our clients. For a job seeker, using our software is like taking a practice test; you can take it as many times as you like, and each time we give you constructive tips to help improve your score. If you want your resume seen, you must have a high contextual ranking score,” says Duarte.
The job search on GadBall is also unique. In addition to searching jobs posted directly on Data Frenzy and GadBall, the job search is integrated with several job board partners and company websites. Search parameters input on GadBall are transmitted real-time to several job boards via database to database connections, and results from all sources are displayed on one page.
GadBall is entirely free for job seekers and career advisors, who are given access to monitor utilization of all aspects of the site for their assigned users. For more information, visit GadBall (http://GadBall.com).
