Bill Pratt a retired navy chef and the Executive Corporate Chef of Lou’s Quick-n-Easy/TMF, accompanied Michael Smith on the Food Network’s Iron Chef America competition against American chef Bobby Flay. Iron Chef America is a reality television show based upon the Japanese cult sensation where world-class chefs battle legendary Iron Chefs, the American version puts popular North American culinary experts against each other in kitchen stadium.
Each episode of Iron Chef requires chef’s to cook with a secret ingredient, this week avocados, chefs have 60 minutes to prepare 5 dishes that include the secret ingredient. As sous chef to Michael Smith, Bill Pratt helped prepare a tuna avocado salad, oyster dumplings, 3 versions of guacamole, Canadian Beef Bacon and a white chocolate guacamole dessert. These dishes were presented to a panel of celebrity judges who awarded Michael Smiths team a total of 40 points unfortunately Bobby Flays team was awarded more points and won the competition.
