Host and attention coach Jeff Copper interviews David Giwerc, Master Certified Coach (MCC) and founder and president of the ADD Coaching Academy. Jeff and David will discuss the difference between regular coaching and ADD coaching. Having ADHD himself, David Giwerc is passionate about serving others who struggle with ADD/ADHD. He is a Master Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation, the governing body for the coaching profession. In 1998, he founded and serves as president of the ADD Coach Academy (ADDCA), the premier comprehensive, long-distance ADD/ADHD coach training program. The program is designed to teach the essential skills necessary to coach individuals with ADD. He is a past president of ADDA (Attention Deficit Disorder Association), the world’s leading adult ADHD organization, and continues to serve on the executive committee in a variety of roles. He played a key role in the development of ADDA’s current “Guiding Principles for Coaching Individuals with ADHD,” in addition to authoring and directing ADDA’s strategic plans for 2002-2004. David was a catalyst for ADDA’s US Senate resolution declaring September 7, 2004, National ADHD Awareness Day. He has been coaching adults with ADHD for a decade, with a specific focus on entrepreneurs with ADHD and mentors some of the world’s leading coaches.
