Africa Project Logistics Awards website was launched today.

The inaugural Africa Project and Logistics Awards will be held at the Nairobi Hilton Hotel on 29th October, 2010. Their inaugural 2010 Awards Ceremony will recognize, reward and applaud this year’s project logistics and heavy lift cargo superstars operating in Africa.
The Africa Project Logistics Awards is the industry event of the year, and the most highly prized accolade in the industry. Top categories include Project / Heavy Lift Forwarder of the Year, and others that give top honors to the corporate team and person of the year.
Only 15 trophies will be given out each year, making this the most elite, and coveted, industry honor. They serve to reinforce an organization’s success, and also to motivate others to deliver and execute project logistics to a very high standard. Heavy Lifting and Transport Seminar
This much sought after seminar will run in Africa for the first time from 8.00am to 5.00pm on 29th October 2010. Benefits to Participants
Besides the basic theoretical knowledge on forces in slings, platform trailer techniques, GoG locations etc., the course will go into detail on accidents, which happened in the transport and lifting industry.
Different accidents in heavy lift cases will be analyzed, including the cause of these accidents and illustrate them with video footage.
The course is specifically focused on heavy lift professionals, who do not have a lot of practical experience. They will learn the “Tips and Tricks” (the Do’s and Dont’s) of the heavy lift Transport & Lifting Industry.
Also more experienced personnel such as and not limited to port equipment operators, supervisors, operation managers, heavy lift transport engineers, freight forwarders etc. will benefit from this seminar, which is given in Power Point Format and illustrated with a large number of project video documentaries in the heavy lift transport and lifting Industry. The course will be delivered in English. The Seminar will be given in the metric system.
A full Colour Hand out of the presentations (6 subjects = 200 slides) as hard copy plus a double CD will be given to the participants. A certificate of participation will also be given at the end of the seminar.
