Author Brand Identity is Paramount to Success

Literary Corner podcast hosts take their listeners through the necessary steps of non-fiction author branding.

Denver, CO, October 28, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Join Ms. Bettye Jamerson and Dr. Taffy Wagner, co-hosts of the Literary Corner podcast, this Wednesday, November 1, 2006 as they discuss the importance of creating a brand identity for non-fiction authors.

“Oftentimes, when people hear the word branding, their minds immediately go to big business,” comments Ms. Jamerson, “but what we want non-fiction authors to realize is that branding is for all levels of business – and as an author you are in business for yourself. A solid brand identity translates to increased author name recognition, which translates into increased book sales.”

Dr. Wagner agrees. “When a non-fiction author brands himself, he is establishing himself as an expert in his field and he is establishing a relationship of comfort, trust, and emotional connection with his target audience by conveying his values, his purpose, and his vision through his writing,” she says.

The Literary Corner hosts also talk about being ready for media inquiries and interviews, the importance of committing oneself to their message, having the courage to remain steadfast in that message, and the necessity to challenge oneself to grow and improve in their area of expertise.

Ms. Bettye Jamerson and Dr. Taffy Wagner are published authors and have a wealth of experience in the publishing and promotion arena. Dr. Wagner is the author of 'Debt Dilemma' and ‘Homebuyer’s Helper’. Ms. Jamerson is the author of 'Love: The Greatest Choice of All', and 'For the Love of Beulah: Finding your Purpose in Life'.
