Board-certified orthopedic surgeon Dr. Alan Nasar of Advanced Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute (AOSMI), Freehold and Monroe Township, NJ, has been named orthopedic medical director of The Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center in Freehold, NJ. Dr. Nasar is fellowship-trained in joint replacement, and also specializes in avascular necrosis, knee and hip arthroscopy, and fracture and trauma care. He will treat any orthopedic patients who are undergoing rehab at The Manor.
Freehold, NJ, February 14, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Dr. Alan Nasar, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Advanced Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute, Freehold and Monroe Township, NJ, who is fellowship-trained in joint replacement, has been named Director of Orthopedics of The Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center, 689 West Main Street, Freehold, New Jersey.
As Director of Orthopedics, AOSMI’s Dr. Nasar will actively treat and care for any orthopedic patients from CentraState Medical Center who are at The Manor for sub acute rehabilitation following an orthopedic-related admission at CentraState. The Manor is located on the grounds of CentraState Medical Center in Freehold.
Dr. Nasar says, “Staying at The Manor means patients and insurance companies will not have to pay for ambulance transportation to and from AOSMI’s orthopedic offices, which typically occurs once or twice a month. That means patients can save about $500.00 to $1,000.00 because I’m going to be taking care of anyone who has had an orthopedic procedure at CentraState and is staying at The Manor. That savings, alone, is significant.”
Dr. Nasar is a senior staff member at Advanced Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute, which provides a range of services, including sports medicine, joint replacement, fracture care, spine care, work injury care, hand and wrist care, physiatry, foot and ankle care, and osteoporosis care to the residents of Freehold and Monroe Townships and surrounding towns in Monmouth and Middlesex Counties.
Besides seeing orthopedic patients, Dr. Nasar will be reviewing and initiating quality improvement projects at The Manor. He will also participate in staff education and be involved with the interdisciplinary team’s planning of care, among other projects.
