AzCa Embroiders QR Barcode
AzCa Embroidery embroiders a functional QR barcode for commercial use.
Tempe, AZ, February 14, 2010 --(PR.com)-- AzCa Embroidery, Inc. has given the latest trend in marketing and fashion a new twist by digitizing and embroidering a QR barcode onto work and casual apparel.
A QR (or Quick Response) barcode is a two-dimensional information matrix that can store text or links to website addresses. Though initially used for item tracking in manufacturing, the QR barcode has quickly become a trend in print media and marketing. Tempe-based business AzCa Embroidery, Inc. has expanded its potential to include mass produced professional and personal apparel.
“We weren’t sure if it was going to work,” Nathan Milhoan, President of AzCa Embroidery, Inc., explains. “It’s one thing to see and scan a QR barcode in print, but digitizing it into an embroidery program, and recreating it with stitches on a shirt . . . we weren’t sure if a scanner would read the thread the same way, but it does!”
Milhoan believes the QR barcode will become a significant trend combining marketing and fashion.
“It certainly catches the eye,” he continues. “People want to know what that design is. That it can actually be scanned by a camera phone and direct people to a website makes you more than a walking billboard for your business – it makes you a walking hyperlink!”
AzCa Embroidery, Inc. was incorporated in 2006. Young entrepreneur Nathan Milhoan purchased the business in the face of a recession in January 2010 and is dedicated to offering quality embroidered and screen printed professional and personal apparel at the fastest turnaround time in the industry.
