Winthrop Solutions Offers Alternative Energy Financing
Winthrop Solutions now offers creative financing for alternative energy projects such as wind, solar and other alternative energy projects across the nation.
East Providence, RI, February 14, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Winthrop Solutions, a provider of creative mortgage financing solutions for owners, developers and investors of commercial real estate, announces the availability of creative financing solutions for alternative energy projects.
Recently Winthrop joined forces with CRiSM LLC, a facilities management company in Johnston, and Pro-Paint Plus, a full-service contractor in North Kingstown, and partnered to bring a roof-mounted wind turbine, the SWIFT Wind Turbine, to Rhode Island. “The greening of America is just starting,” said Winthrop Solutions president Howard Weldon, who also is involved in two wind turbine projects in southern Minnesota. “Europe is way ahead of us in the renewable energy field.”
The SWIFT wind turbine was developed in Scotland and is now available in the United States. It is a structure or pole-mountable device that generates electricity by harnessing the power of the wind as a cost-effective energy source for commercial, industrial and residential uses. The owner of Pro-Paint Plus, Thomas Marsocci, stated, “We want to be environmental leaders and energy independent...We would like to start an energy revolution that replaces fossil fuels in this area.”
Winthrop Solutions is also involved with financing residential and commercial solar energy projects as well as the wind energy projects. “The opportunity for energy savings, tax credits and alternative energy grant funds make these projects particularly inviting to investors all across the nation,” adds Weldon.
Winthrop also offers both conforming and non-conforming Commercial Real Estate mortgage loans, HUD and SBA financing.
Due largely to the demand for alternative energy financing, Weldon is planning to change his company’s name to Winthrop Financial Solutions to better reflect the path the company is taking. “Renewable and alternative energy projects are of benefit to the environment, they help strengthen our energy security, create jobs locally, and can help to improve our economy. Winthrop is excited to be a part of this movement,” stated Weldon.
