What are you doing with the gift that has been given to you - the gift of the prophetic - the ability to create something from nothing through the spoken word? Are you harnessing it and using it to lead a life of abundance? Are you fulfilling your dreams and stepping out with intent and in faith?

Words are powerful seeds that we sow - and in time, we reap either a bountiful harvest or a failed crop. The Hip Hop Generation is recognizing this principal and being empowered. We are learning from our past and looking to the future. A Prophetic Generation educates the Hip Hop Generation, in the prophetic, and equips them to use it in every area of their lives - including the area of finance.

The organization is working with minority-owned banks in designing a blueprint to help the urban community understand the importance of having a solid financial foundation in place. The group is also offering educational programs on home ownership, entrepreneurship and philanthropy. "It's so important to give - it's in giving to others that we often see our own dreams birthed," says Alyce Hartman, Founder of A Prophetic Generation. "It's also important to have a vision and protect it or guard it. We have to speak life over it and believe that it will come to pass. Eventually, our actions start to line-up with our words. That's why we have to be careful - if our vision is distorted, our words and actions will become destructive."

A Prophetic Generation is starting to cultivate the Hip Hop Generation and sow seed with a series of panel discussions at colleges and universities. "Hip Hop is not just a voice. We're the voice and the global impact and influence that we have is phenomenal. So, it's time that we come together and we get it together and operate at our fullest potential," adds Hartman.

The organization is gaining the support of the industry - AllHipHop.com, Hot 97 and XXL Magazine are sponsoring the series, in collaboration with the Harambe Alliance at New York University and the NYU Office of Student Activities. MTV Networks, Shade 45 Sirius Satellite Radio and Violator Records Management all have representatives on the panel; along with Universal Motown Recording Artist Trick Trick (Welcome 2 Detroit featuring Eminem), Shady Records Recording Artist Swifty McVay of D12 and others. "We have a great group joining us - a team effort for a time such as this."
