Agapé Inc.’s Floral Magnet Blossoms Into Its Fifth Year

Agapé, Inc. is celebrating its fifth year offering the Floral Magnet- a product for the floral industry that prevents pin pokes and garment wear and tear with the use of a lightweight magnet.

Minneapolis, MN, February 16, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Minneapolis based Agapé, Inc. has started the new decade off with its sights set high, celebrating its fifth year offering the Floral Magnet- a product for the floral industry. The Floral Magnet prevents pin pokes and garment wear and tear with the use of a lightweight magnet.

The Floral Magnet, which works as an alternative to old fashioned pins, easily attaches boutonnières to lapels with a small magnet. A florist simply wraps one side of the magnet into the boutonnière and the customer is able to use the other side to fasten the boutonnière to their lapel. Less time fussing over pinning on boutonnières means more time enjoying the special event. Less pins through garment lapels means less wear and tear on clothing and more money saved.

The product’s convenient size makes it easy for florists to incorporate it into a boutonnière. Also, its light weight material (.3 oz) will not weigh down a person’s dress, suit or tux lapel. Although the Floral Magnet is light in weight, it has the ability to hold up to 3lbs. 11oz. and keeps the boutonnière in place with ease.

Knowing from experience that the process of pinning on a boutonnière can be an uncomfortable experience for both girls and guys, Agapé owner and the Floral Magnet’s inventor Chris Sliwinski stated, “I knew there was a need for this product when at formal dances, it wasn’t your date pinning on your boutonnière but your date’s mother because using pins was so difficult. While the girl is trying to impress her date, she is stuck struggling in vain to attach the boutonnière with pins. Besides pin pokes, the only thing the pins added was the certainty of an uncomfortable situation. I wanted to end that all together and add convenience to a situation that should be simple and special.”

Agapé, Inc. was incorporated in 2006, by Chris Sliwinski, who happened to be in high school at the time. Its presence is continually spreading throughout floral boutiques around the country. The Floral Magnet is supplied via the world wide web.
