Plano, TX, February 17, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Plano Area Mothers of Multiples (PAMOM) is hosting its 16th annual gala and fundraiser on Saturday, February 27, 2010. Tickets are available to the general public at www.pamom.org.

The gala is PAMOM’s largest fundraiser of the year and is the main source of funding for the organization. The event will take place at Fairy Tale Manor in Frisco. This year the East meets West with a Chinese New Year Celebration. The silent auction, currently open online with nearly 120 items up for bid at http://pamom.cmarket.com/auction2010, is open to the public for bidding through the month of February.

PAMOM President, Tina Firgens, stresses the importance of supporting this event, “PAMOM works actively to support mothers and their families during a potentially difficult transitional time of their life with the arrival of multiple babies, be it twins, triplets, or quadruplets. The support for our fellow moms of multiples continues as our children become older, helping each other with each new challenge our children present us. In addition to helping our own group of members, we provide assistance and support to other non-profit agencies that provide needed services within Plano and surrounding area.” Non-profit groups supported by PAMOM include the Collin County Children’s Advocacy, Shower of Love, Early Childhood Intervention and the Very Special Arts Fest in Plano.

PAMOM is currently accepting contributions and sponsorship for the gala that will be acknowledged through a variety of avenues, based upon the level of sponsorship. Mrs. Firgens adds, “During this continued time of economic uncertainty, your help and efforts are needed now more than ever. With your financial support for PAMOM, we can continue to expand our commitment to assisting others within our organization, as well as allowing us to continue providing assistance to other agencies within the community.”

PAMOM is a non-profit organization that offers education, support, and services to mothers of multiples and their families. The group, which is open to residents in and around the Plano area, is committed to providing quality programs, including assistance to those who have difficulties adjusting as parents of twins, triplets, and quadruplets, as well as financial aid to those who suffer hardships; furthermore, PAMOM is actively involved within the community. PAMOM is constantly growing and currently represents over 375 women, including members, honorary members, and those expecting multiples.
