Leonia Winter Craft Fair Becomes an Annual Event
February 21, 2010 will mark the 2nd Annual Leonia Winter Craft Fair. The American Legion Post #1, located in the town is pleased to host this newly recurring event. From 10am to 4pm on 2/21, the Legion Hall at 399 Broad Ave will be home to New Jersey's most talented crafters.
Leonia, NJ, February 18, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Last year, American Legion Post #1's Winter Craft Fair was so wildly successful, they decided it would have to be a regular event. Hundreds of shoppers attended the 2009 Winter Craft Fair, purchasing all manner of handmade crafts - jewelry, candles, greeting cards, even knit hats.
This season's fair, The Second Annual Leonia Winter Craft Fair, will take place from 10am to 4pm on Sunday, February 21, 2010. The Post is located right in the center of town at, 399 Broad Ave, Leonia, NJ 07605. With plenty of street parking, this is one of the most convenient fairs around. Vendors will be on site for the community to purchase their beautiful handmade crafts - woodwork, local sketches, jewelry, knit and crochet items and many, many more unique crafts. Additionally, the Legion will have some delicious food available, and raffles throughout the day.
The American Legion is the largest Veteran's organization in the United States, and Leonia's Post #1 was the first Post chartered in New Jersey. Since, 1919, members have worked to create a place for veterans to commune with each other and to become involved with their community. The Post's craft fairs and other events help the Legion raise funds for Veteran's charities and for local scholarships.
Jr. Vice Commander, Tony Kowidge is proud of the Post's efforts, "By hosting this craft fair, we bring to the Leonia community a place to meet local crafters and artisans, and a fun way for people to buy American! We hope the community will come out in droves just like last year!"
