Faith Hoops Gearing Up for Youth Basketball League & Golden State Warriors Game

Santa Cruz, CA, February 18, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Faith Hoops and Celebrate Kids Ministries is offering a youth basketball league for boys and girls grades 1-8 starting March 20th and running through May 29th at Twin Lakes Church in Aptos, CA. The league includes drills and instruction, weekly 5 on 5 games and a “Family Night” outing to see the Golden State Warriors live. All games and practices take place on Saturday’s at Twin Lakes Church. Over 150 kids are expected to participate in the league this season.

Twin Lakes Church youth basketball program has been around for over 16 years, focusing on skill development (both basketball and relationship), positive sports attitudes and Fun. Participants are able to hone their individual skills while also focusing on the important aspects of team play. On April 2nd coaches, players and parents will head up to the Oakland Coliseum for Family Night to watch the Golden State Warriors take on the New York Knicks. With the Warriors and Knicks “running style”, this is sure to be a high scoring and exciting game. After the game, the kids will have the opportunity to shoot free throws on the Warriors court.

Registration for the 11-week season has begun and is $50 and a total of $115 if you sign up for the “Family Night” outing. “Family Night is an amazing outing for kids and parents, we’ve sold out the past two seasons,” said Ian McQueen, Faith Hoops President & CMO. All players receive a league shirt and complimentary snacks and beverages throughout the season. Faith Hoops will be selling branded apparel during the league, with 100% of the net proceeds going to relief efforts in Haiti.
