Nevada Politico Opens New Firm

Ferrari Public Affairs to focus on results-driven lobbying and public relations.

Reno, NV, February 18, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Longtime Nevada political and business consultant Chris Ferrari today announced the launch of Ferrari Public Affairs.

Ferrari, who has worked in lobbying and consulting since the mid 1990s, served in Gov. Kenny Guinn’s administration and as a lobbyist and public relations consultant for Nevada’s largest advertising and public relations firm, R&R Partners. He advises many of Nevada’s top political and business leaders and has represented some of the country’s largest companies in areas including consumer finance, corrections, construction, development, education, energy, gaming, health care, insurance, mining, real estate, and technology.

“The new firm will provide results-driven solutions that clients have come to expect,” said Ferrari. “We are not just another consulting firm. We understand the ins and outs of government at the local, state, and federal level, and we partner with experts in all areas of political and business communication. This enables us to achieve the best possible results for our clients.”

Ryan Bauman, who was named best new lobbyist of the year by his peers in the 2009 Nevada Legislative Session, will join the company as an Associate. Bauman, a graduate of Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, has served as an attaché and lobbyist in the Nevada Legislature. He has worked as a campaign adviser to Nevada Assembly Majority Leader John Oceguera (D-Las Vegas), and most recently worked for Reno-based J.K. Belz & Associates, lobbying for clients in the areas of health care, education, insurance, and dentistry.

Joining Ferrari Public Affairs in the role of Strategic Advisor is Mark Brown, who currently serves as CEO of Zen Gaming. Brown has previously served as President of R&R Partners; Founder & CEO of Brown & Partners, Inc.; Executive vice president of government relations and corporate communications for Station Casinos, Inc.; and Senior vice president of corporate and government relations and marketing for the Howard Hughes Corporation. Mr. Brown is a founding Director of Service 1st. Bank of Nevada and serves as a member of the UNLV Foundation.

Brown and Ferrari have worked together for nearly a decade, tackling some of Nevada’s largest issues including re-opening Las Vegas’ University Medical Center (UMC) in 2002 after its temporary shutdown due to skyrocketing physician insurance premiums. They were also influential in adding tort reform to Nevada’s statutes during a Special Session of the Legislature following UMC’s re-opening.
