STET Homeland Security Services Conducts Security Awareness Seminar for the Central Bank of Oman
STET Homeland Security Services, a leading expert in security (Singapore-based), works with the Central Bank of Oman to promote a greater awareness of security in the Sultanate of Oman. The Security Awareness Seminar organized by the Central Bank of Oman emphasizes the importance of aligning balanced security designs, incorporating both security procedural design and personnel training, with the local culture and social environment.
Singapore, Singapore, January 16, 2010 --(PR.com)-- H.E Hamood Sangour Al Zadjali, Executive President of the Central Bank of Oman presided this morning at the Head Office of the CBO, over the Security Awareness Seminar organized by the CBO in collaboration with the Security Consultants STET Homeland Security Services Pte Ltd (STET HLS), Singapore.
The seminar was intended to enlighten and inform bank employees – Managerial, Security and Supervisory and other staff at the CBO – with the improvements and the new security measures that the bank intends to introduce and implement in its Head Office in Muscat, and its two branches at Sohar and Salalah in the coming years.
The participants and security experts reviewed a number of security issues, procedures and events witnessed by the world during the past decade. They also discussed the nature and quality of measures that the Central Bank of Oman should take in this regard with the aim of enhancing and strengthening the security system and aligning the employees working in this institution with this approach. The participants also listened to the suggestions espoused by the security experts in order to enhance and strengthen the security measures required to be implemented in this regard, as well as the types and quality of security equipment and systems to be used for the purpose of enhancing security inside the CBO.
The Security consultants and experts praised and applauded the security position of the Sultanate, as the Sultanate is ranked 21 internationally among 144 listed countries ranked in the 2008 International Security Index.
H.E the Executive President of the CBO called for the experts to train and equip security personnel and other concerned specialists in the bank on all the technical security matters, requirements and procedures that would help them in executing their daily duties smoothly and without complications. He stressed the necessity of focusing on those visiting or those coming for temporary work, and educating and enlightening all staff about the aim of these new security measures which are intended to protect those working at the bank and visitors as well as those who deal with the different departments and sections of the CBO. He also emphasized the importance of disseminating awareness in this regard; pointing out that the security measures to be implemented should be in line with the Omani culture and social environment, as well as the aspirations of the other security systems in the country.
