San Francisco, CA, February 19, 2010 --(PR.com)-- In honor of the 2009 Best App Ever Awards announcement, the world's largest iPhone app promo code contest to give away over 1,000 copies of iPhone applications and games has been launched. The contest, which is open to all users with US iTunes accounts, has launched to great interest from users and developers.

Nominated developers have contributed 1,000 promo codes for over 110 different applications and games. The contest was created to promote not only the winners of the second annual Best App Ever awards, but all of the nominees. It gives nominated developers a way to thank the people that voted for them and to publicize some of their newer applications, all possible entrants into the 2010 awards.

Prizes in the contest include apps from companies such as Bolt Creative, winner of the Best App Ever award for 2009, Navigon, winner of the Best GPS Navigation App, Taito, Freeverse, DataViz, Handmark, Manomio, Retronyms, Shape Services, Oceanhouse Media, Illusion Labs, Appigo, and many more.

Entries in the contest are open now and will run through the end of February. Winners will be announced every few days through the end of the contest. Users interested in winning promotional codes for apps need just go to the special promo code contest site and pick the applications they want to enter the contest for. Winners are chosen at random from all valid entries.

Winners of the promo codes will be requested to donate the retail value of the apps to the relief effort for Haiti. This contest will hopefully raise at least $5,000 for Haiti relief.

The contest information and entry can be found at bestappever.com/pc
