Nick Perri Announces Plans to Start a New Rock Band

Internationally renowned guitarist's decision to return to Philadelphia is simply the next step in the plan to focus his creative energy into a new aggressive, successful, quality project.

Philadelphia, PA, February 19, 2010 --(PR.com)-- During a radio interview with Philadelphia rock station WMMR today, international touring and recording artist Nick Perri unveiled a plan to return to his hometown and form a new rock band, starting in March. “Philadelphians are among the hardest working, most fierce, and mentally strong people in the world,” Perri said. “Following an incredible year of discovery as an artist working on my own terms for the first time in 10 years, I feel I am now ready to form a new band.” A return to Philadelphia means a return to Perriʼs roots, both historically and creatively. As the former lead guitar player for Phillyʼs own Silvertide from 2001-2006, Perri toured the world and played with every major rock act of the last twenty years. His move to Los Angeles in 2006 was part an overall strategy to prove himself as one of the hardest working musicians in the business. While establishing himself as a mainstay in the LA music scene, Perri also toured the world with some of the biggest names in rock music, including Top Forty smash Shinedown, Perry Farrell/Satellite Party and Matt Sorum/Darling Stilettos. The decision to return to Philadelphia is simply the next step in Perriʼs plan to focus his creative energy into an aggressive, successful, quality project. “There is an element to success that cannot be defined by words or specific actions,” he said. “Some people call it the ʻX-factor.ʼ That’s what I’m looking for, and that’s what I know I will find on this journey back to my roots.” Perriʼs announcement comes nearly a week after launching an dynamic business plan to expand his brand into the clothing, jewelry and musical instrument markets. He announced plans for several businesses under his PERRI INK. LLC brand (whose offices will remain in Los Angeles) in early February.
