- Rare opportunity to hear two European-based artists in recital in the Detroit area; this performances marks the debut of both artists on the Chamber Music Society of Detroit series
- Program consists of sonatas by four composers whose important anniversaries fall in 2010: Samuel Barber (100th birth anniversary), Dohnanyi (50th anniversary death anniversary), Schumann and Chopin (200th birth anniversaries of both composers)
- Steven Isserlis arranged Schumann’s Sonata for Cello and Piano; it was originally written for Violin and Piano.
