The group Bangalore Entrepreneurs was started in 2008 by Mr Bhaskara Kempaiah who had the sole purpose of promoting entrepreneurship in mind when he started this group. today the group tries makes it a point to meet on one Sunday every month and is an excellent platform to create an opportunity for like minded entrepreneurs to meet up and share views, ideas and experiences.
The focus of the Bangalore Entrepreneurs group is the sentiment that everyone would, one day, like to transition from being an employee to an employer. The only prerequisite to joining this Bangalore Entrepreneurs group is an interest in entrepreneurship and the want for hearing and sharing ideas.
The group meets up once a month and discusses various topics related to starting, owning, and running a successful business. Meetups in the past have featured talks from entrepreneurs like Pranav Bhasin, Co-founder of Lifeblob.com who spoke about the methods and the right time to raise funds for a company. Of the people that attended this meet many felt that it was an excellent opportunity to learn more about financing a venture and to get some questions answered.
The groups meets are sponsored by companies that are interested in promoting entrepreneurship and the group, Bangalore Entrepreneurs, is currently sponsored by Neovette Technologies Pvt Ltd, a company headed by Mr. Hemanth Chinni. Neovette is an IT solutions based company that was started in July of 2009 and launched it's first product, ImproveYourRank.in, in November of 2009. The product is an add-on service to the resources used by PUC and Class 12 students while preparing for competitive exams like CET/ COMED-K, AIEEE, etc. It has since branched out into Web Development projects and aims to provide a web hosting and other similar services to its customers.
When asked about why he decided to sponsor Bangalore Entrepreneurs, Mr Hemanth Chinni said that it was Neovette's founding philosophy to nurture entrepreneurship and the group in-itself was a breeding ground for tomorrow's entrepreneurs. He also said that it is his intention to provide all his employees with all the opportunities to gain the knowledge and expertise that they would need to start their own companies. Citing the opportunity rich environment of the group, he said that the it is the best place to meet ambitious people and indulge in business networking.
The group plans to hold its next meeting, under the sponsorship of Neovette Technologies, on 28 Feb 2010.
