Sonitrol Pacific's Early Detection Thwarts Theft
Tacoma, WA, February 20, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Police arrested one suspected burglar outside a Washington high school after a detection and dispatch from Sonitrol Pacific’s Operations Center February 16.
The security system in the school’s old shops and technical buildings activated at 5:33 p.m. and Operator Tara Fulmer sent the school district’s guard service to investigate. She listened to live audio on site and heard the hum of machinery.
When the guard arrived, one person ran out the shops’ front door. The suspect was detained, then taken into police custody.
Due to the quick response from Fulmer, the guard service and police, nothing was taken and no damage was done.
Since 1978, Sonitrol Pacific security systems have detected criminal activity leading to the arrest of 5,234 suspected criminals. Their unique audio sensor technology is designed for the earliest possible detection and verification of threats.
