The Ancient Art of Drag Meets the 21st Century
Denver, CO, February 19, 2010 --(PR.com)-- BoysInDrag.com offers fashion, fun and friendship for drag queens, crossdressers and their admirers.
The overwhelming success of Logo’s RuPaul’s Drag Race brought the ancient art of drag performance into the digital age, and BoysInDrag.com, a new social networking site from drag aficionado William Sheffield, takes the drag-queen scene one high-heeled step further.
Now anyone can be a star on BoysInDrag.com, where drag queens, crossdressers and their admirers can create a profile, share photos, blog about their adventures, make friends and even find romance. Members can browse profiles to seek out those who share similar interests – or similar inclinations. Membership is free, and profiles can be public or private, based on personal preference.
“There’s a good mix of crossdressers and drag queens on the site, as well as guys who are looking to meet them,” says Sheffield. “Interests are filtered and searchable. It’s a service that allows anyone to connect with this wonderful population.”
Sheffield was so excited about the idea that he woke his partner in the middle of the night to help get the site started. His goal was a no-cost membership site that would allow for a diversity of personal tastes and predilections.
“This is the space for leather and lace,” he says. “So if you’re not into lace, you can enjoy the leather side of things. That’s why I made the site for boys who like to dress in many different styles.”
The site is gaining new members every day, and as RuPaul’s Drag Race moves into its second over-the-top season, BoysInDrag.com is poised to become the destination site for drag lovers everywhere.
“It’s a place to show off the crossdressing or drag queen side of you,” says Sheffield, “and to be connected to the world in a whole new ‘fashion,’ so to speak. So if you like to get your drag on and have fun, BoysInDrag.com is the place to do it.”
Now you can get your drag on at www.BoysInDrag.com.
