New Telco Fraud Master Class Features Collaboration by Regional Experts
True to its vision of providing good, community-based certification training to telecoms professionals, GRAPA announces the formation of a Telco Fraud Officer Committee to forsee growth of new telco fraud management certification training program.
Chicago, IL, February 21, 2010 --(PR.com)-- True to its vision of providing community-based certification training that is derived from the real-world experiences of successful practices, the Global Revenue Assurance Professional Association (GRAPA) announces the formation of a Telco Fraud Officer Committee to oversee the new Telco Fraud Officer Program as it develops.
Made up of pioneers in the fight against telecoms fraud from all over the world, the committee's role is to provide thought leadership, steer the development of training and offer expert review of the certification class as it nears completion. "It is a privilege and honor for GRAPA to host regional experts in combating telco fraud. We are excited to have them add their insight and experience to a certification program that will offer a total view of the telco fraud landscape and provide the tools and methods professionals need to detect and deter fraud," said Rob Mattison, GRAPA's President.
"Because our committee is largely made up of carrier-based professionals, all of whom are well-respected Fraud and Revenue Assurance practitioners in their regions, GRAPA has been able to utilize these professionals' experiences and knowledge to tune its training into being relevant no matter what part of the world your telco operates in," said Louis Khor, GRAPA's Director of Research and Industry Analysis.
Among the esteemed members of the committee are Ade Banjoko, Fraud Manager of Zain Nigeria and author of an influential white paper, published by the GSMA, entitled "Circle of Trust." Pamela Noriega is Revenue Assurance and Fraud Manager at Nuevatel Bolivia, and has been GRAPA's Regional Chair for Latin America since 2008.
They are joined by Md. Faizur Rashid, recently from Fraud Management at Digi (part of the Telenor Group); Badee Awwad, Revenue Assurance Supervisor at Wataniya; and Jan Van der Steen, Manager Advisory Services at Ernst & Young.
