Walking Down the Aisle on Plastic: Company Gives Brides Eco-Friendly Options
Customized Wedding Creations is offering the first-ever collection of customized eco-friendly aisle runners made from recycled fabric and hand-painted with organic, water-based paints.
Hamilton, NJ, February 21, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Brides who want an eco-friendly wedding couldn’t walk down the aisle on plastic bottles. One local company, though, is now allowing brides to do just that.
More brides than ever before are looking for ways to help save the planet. They are buying eco-friendly dresses and rings and encouraging their guests to participate in such environmentally friendly endeavors. Cherin Szul is helping her brides carry on that theme with her hand-painted wedding aisle runners.
Szul’s company, Customized Wedding Creations, is now offering a new line of eco-friendly aisle runners in addition to her already popular standard fabric aisle runners. All runners are hand-painted with the couple’s monogram for that special touch. Made from melted down plastic bottles, the material is spun into 100 percent recycled polyester fabric. “Eco-Runners” are then painted with organic, water-based paints free from chemicals and solvents to offer wedding couples a total environmentally-friendly option, unlike anything else on the market.
“Nothing like this existed in the marketplace,” Szul said. “Going green has become a major issue for young couples, and this was a perfect way for me to do my part to help the environment and fill a niche. The best part is my clients don’t have to sacrifice anything; the Eco-Runners look and feel every bit as luxurious as the rest of our aisle runner collections.”
Customized Wedding Creations was started in early 2007 when Szul couldn’t find exactly what she wanted for her own wedding. Since that time she has hand-crafted over 700 aisle runners and accessories for brides and grooms across the country, including two professional football players, one whose wedding was featured on WEtv’s Platinum Weddings. Szul’s company has also been featured in several wedding magazines and blogs, including the prestigious Southern Weddings Magazine.
