Center for Chiropractic & Wellness Hosts Community Appreciation Event
Raleigh, NC, February 24, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Dr. Darcy Ward and Dr. Jennifer Greenfield, doctors of chiropractic at Center for Chiropractic & Wellness (www.carolinachirowellness.com), a North Raleigh chiropractic center located at 8300 Health Park, have announced that the center will host a community appreciation event on Tuesday, March 9 from 8 a.m. to noon. The event will include free arch assessment foot scans.
The arch assessment foot scan process involves taking a digital image of each of the patient’s feet to show pressure points through a color pattern. The color pattern is analyzed to tell the patient where their arches are currently supported and where they may be compromised or even collapsed. This data, combined with 16 precise measurements that the foot scanner takes upon imaging and stores in the patients data, allows for a customized orthotic to be made if necessary.
Quotes:
“This will be the second community appreciation event we are hosting in a monthly series, and we are pleased to offer the free arch assessment foot scans,” said Ward. “Your feet are the foundation of your body. They support you when you stand, walk, or run, and they help protect your spine, bones and soft tissues from damaging stress as you move around. We are confident that the arch assessment foot scans will be beneficial to all who participate.”
“As health care professionals, we know that alleviating pain in one part of your body often requires treating a different part,” said Greenfield. “The pain you feel in your neck could be caused by a misalignment in your spine that is the result of unbalanced positioning in your feet – it’s all a chain reaction. Through the arch assessment foot scans, our goal is to stabilize and balance patient’s feet to enhance their body’s performance and efficiency, reduce pain, and contribute to their total body wellness.”

Details:
- The foot is constructed with three arches that, when properly maintained, give exceptional supportive strength. The three arches form a supporting vault that distributes the weight of the entire body. If there is a compromise of one arch in the foot, the other arches must compensate and are subject to additional stresses, which usually lead to further compromise.
