The Institute for Church Safety and Risk Management Announces Piedmont Area Church Safety Roundtable
ICSARM continues to grow nationally and is excited to announce their newest addition to their Church Safety Roundtable program operating out of North Carolina.
Tupelo, MS, February 27, 2010 --(PR.com)-- During the past several months ICSARM’s Executive Director Michael Boutot has been conducting various church interest polls and has held national teleconference calls with over twenty leaders in the church safety, security and risk management arena. The result is the announcement of launching this new initiative of local Church Safety Roundtables. “We are excited about the opportunity to expand our presence across North America with the advent of these new Church Safety Roundtables” said Boutot.
Jon Schrock has been selected to serve as the Chapter President for the Piedmont Roundtable. Jon is a licensed insurance agent in the states of North Carolina, South Carolina and Indiana. He is also a licensed Emergency Medical Technician. He is currently pursuing his double bachelors degree at a local College in Bible and Pastoral Studies. Jon and his wife Elizabeth have three kids 3, 1 and 6 months and reside in Cherryville, NC. As a former Non-Commissioned Officer in the United States Marine Corps and holding many different billets throughout his tenure in the Marines, Jon brings to the Piedmont Church Safety Roundtable dedication and expertise that will assist area churches in reducing their risk and increasing their safety levels. As Pastor of a local church he brings not only the necessary knowledge but also the ministerial experience that will greatly aid local pastors, churches and Christian schools. He has served in many capacities ranging from Manager of a Fortune 500 Company to Office Manager of a small locally owned business. Jon is looking forward to serving and bettering local churches.
“Many churches have little or even worse no plans whatsoever to respond to the risks that are before them,” said Jon Schrock, Chapter President for the Piedmont Roundtable chapter. “In order to reduce these risks in the churches in the Greater Charlotte area I am excited about building the Piedmont Roundtable. We are pleased to offer to churches a selection of the best service providers for local churches,” added Schrock. ICSARM’s goal is to have at least one Church Safety Roundtable in all 50 states by June 2010 and one in every city with a population of 1 million people or more by the end of 2010.
With over 600,000 churches reported in America and a growing concern over church safety and security, churches are looking for opportunities to ensure they are providing a true safe environment for all their church members. The local Church Safety Roundtable provides membership for local church and service providers. Local meetings include discussion on best practices to what to select for proper insurance coverages to what security system is best for a particular church. In addition to providing education and training for local churches, the Church Safety Roundtable is also designed to evaluate service providers to local churches to make sure the best service provider is being selected by the local church.
