HSBCAMPS Partners with Homecourt YMCA in Meridian to Host Youth Basketball Camps and Bring in Donations
Youth Basketball Camp Dribbles into Boise, Idaho, in Summer 2010 to Give Back to the Local Community
Boise, ID, March 03, 2010 --(PR.com)-- HSBCAMPS, LLC (www.hsbcamps.com), the youth basketball camp dedicated to bringing kids face-to-face with the pros, has partnered with the Homecourt YMCA of Meridian (www.ymcatvidaho.org) to host youth basketball camps from June 28 – July 1, 2010. HSBCAMPS will donate a portion of the camp registration proceeds to the not-for-profit organization to aide in programming and development efforts.
Since its inception in 2007, HSBCAMPS has prided itself on being a program that cares. With more than $25,000 raised to date, HSBCAMPS stands firm in its commitment to provide every child, regardless of age or income, with an opportunity to attend camp. And this year, the roster at HSBCAMPS will include more than just an all-star line-up of professional coaches and athletes, it will also include a newly formed non-profit partner, HSBCARES, INC.* The non-profit was founded with the sole purpose of providing and funding basketball and educational opportunities for youths in need.
“While our camps are typically held at local schools, our mission is so closely aligned with the TVYMCA, that this was a partnership we felt compelled to engage in and support,” explained Carson Sofro, founder/director, HSBCAMPS and HSBCARES. “Basketball is not just a game or after-school activity; it is a vessel for building confidence, character, and an appreciation for hard work and teamwork, both on and off the court.”
The HSBCAMPS Morning Clinic and Day Camp at the Homecourt YMCA are geared towards teaching and developing the fundamentals of basketball for boys and girls in elementary, middle and high school grades. The Morning Clinic is open to youth in grades kindergarten through three. The Day Camp is open to youth in grades four through 12. From team competitions to individual contests, players will participate in fun, instructional work under the direction of the HSBCAMPS staff, comprised of collegiate and professional coaches and players.
In addition to Boise, the nationally expanding youth basketball summer camp will also be serving up high scoring experiences in Scottsdale, Ariz.; Chula Vista, Calif.; Hailey, Idaho; Bend, Ore.; Portland, Ore.; Park City, Utah; and Bellevue, Wash. For more information and to register, visit http://www.HSBCAMPS.com. Registration opened January 1, 2010.
