MEAC 2007 Basketball Tournament Gives the Go for Vendor Registration
Raleigh, NC, November 03, 2006 --(PR.com)-- The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) announced today that vendor registration for the 2007 Basketball Tournament is now open.
Vendors will have the chance to sell art, clothes, jewelry, and any other craft they desire to the thousands of attendees at the tournament. Three choices of booth sizes are available—an 8’x8’ booth for $750 for the duration of the tournament, an 8’x16’ for $1,050, and the largest, an 8’x 24’, is available for $1250. All prices include a location available during all tournament play.
“We expect more people to attend this year’s tournament at the RBC Center than any in previous history,” said MEAC Commissioner Dr. Dennis Thomas. “People come for more than just the game. They want the complete experience of the tournament which includes shopping through the aisles of the concourse, and the camaraderie associated with visiting vendor booths.”
Interested parties can register by logging onto www.meachoops.com and downloading a registration form, or by contacting Raynoid Dedeaux at the MEAC office at (757) 416-7100. Registration is limited, and closes on February 2, 2007.
Last year’s event, the first in Raleigh/Wake County, was a success with attendance growing 50% over the prior year’s tournament. More than 22,500 people attended the tournament games, with additional attendance at related events such as concerts, comedy shows and career day.
