Clara Berta Studio City Mixed Media Abstract Artist Launches New Interior Designer Series
Clara Berta (www.bertaart.com), Studio City mixed media abstract artist, launches a new interior designer series incorporating textures, writings and exotic materials that evoke an inspiring atmosphere.
Studio City, CA, March 05, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Clara Berta (www.bertaart.com) mixed media abstract artist in Studio City, CA, launches her new 2010 Mixed Media Interior Designer series incorporating rich textures, layers of torn posters, writings and reclaimed exotic materials into her work. Using luxurious and earthy colors with passionate blues derived from her love of the ocean, the new series evokes a fresh, inspiring atmosphere.
Berta’s new series of creations are the culmination of her life’s journey to date that began in a culturally rich and stimulating environment in a Hungarian enclave in Romania. Her family immigrated to Chicago when she was eleven and from there she traveled to LA where she started painting in 1987. Last year she traveled to Florence, Italy, where her studies deepened her knowledge of several art techniques she is using in her new series.
“Studying in Florence has had a profound effect on my work and has given me more mediums to use to create my abstract art and express my passions using mixed media,” says Berta. “My new series is ideal for interior designers who are looking for unique pieces that evoke emotions of inspiration and harmony in an environment, and that help to pull all the design pieces together. They work well in hotels and corporate settings as well as residential spaces.”
Berta goes on to say that for interior designers who don’t need pieces immediately, she does commission work. Her intention is to merge her own emotional reactions with the desires and feelings of the person the artwork is being created for. She often uses antique woods as a base to convey the important link of history’s beauty with today through the use of modern techniques.
She can also incorporate photographs of the client’s life and travels, journals, and other materials to create works that capture their memories and special moments along with any desired color palette. The results are a moving work of art that becomes a family heirloom and treasure.
Emily LaMarque of Emily LaMarque Design Studio (http://www.emilylamarque.com) says of Berta, “Working with mixed media, Clara paints and collages together abstract pieces that are rich with texture and hue and are quite evocative. Clara's romanticism, independence, and passion for all of life's pleasures unfold in each of her pieces. Her laugh is completely contagious and her intimate art studio is the perfect place to meet and work on pieces for clients. She is a true pleasure to work with and clients especially love her commissioned pieces that touch their lives.”
