Magazine Honors Rev. Maria Pierre with Latina Movers ‘N’ Shakers Award
Esperanza Interfaith Center’s Spiritual Director Honored by Latin Times Magazine.
Tampa, FL, March 08, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Esperanza Interfaith Center is proud to announce that Reverend Maria Pierre has received the 2010 Latina Movers ‘N’ Shakers Award from Latin Times Magazine. In addition to being featured in the magazine cover story, Rev. Maria was recognized at several celebratory events, including the Florida State Fair on Feb. 5 along with the other award recipients.
“It’s been a special honor to be included in such a dynamic group of talented and beautiful Latinas,” said Rev. Pierre, who also serves as President of the Hispanic Professional Women’s Association (HPWA). “I am so very grateful to be able to lead a successful career in spiritual ministry and to support the growth of the Hispanic community.”
She was one of 11 women featured in the First Quarter 2010 issue of the glossy bilingual publication. Distributed for free on a quarterly basis throughout Tampa Bay, Latin Times Magazine is also available online in an e-Magazine format (www.latin-times.com). Rev. Since earning her bachelor's degree in sociology on a full academic scholarship to Harvard University, Rev. Pierre has led a purpose-driven career. She currently holds an executive position in The Pascall Company, where her work focuses on professional career coaching and work-life synergy programs, which enables executives to perform at optimum levels and successfully overcome career burnout. Rev. Pierre has also worked as a counselor and administrator in various social agencies, performed counseling in crisis intervention centers, and graduated from seminary school to serve as spiritual director for Esperanza Interfaith Center.
