American Canyon, CA, March 06, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Water and Education International (WEI) announces a 5k Run/Walk for Clean Water in Haiti 2010. The event is a fundraiser for clean water, food and education for the Haitian villages impacted by the recent earthquake. The race is a family friendly event in beautiful American Canyon, CA on April 24, 2010. Register for the 5K Run/Walk at www.active.com - keyword WEI Care.

The January earthquake that rattled Haiti has hampered remote villages from receiving any aid. Water & Education International is sending a team of experienced support people and physicians to provide medicine, food and logistical support for several villages and schools. The team is scheduled to make a humanitarian trip to Haiti on March 31, 2010 for 10 days and a follow-up trip in July 2010 with additional supplies and materials.

“We are humbled by the opportunity to provide assistance in various forms to those in need in Haiti. The Run/Walk is a call to action for our entire community and will set a standard of helping those in need for our children and teens,” said Ollie Dixon, Executive Director of WEI.

Water & Education International is a 501c3 non-profit organization formed in 2007 and is 100% volunteer supported. Find out more about WEI at www.WEIHumanitarian.org.
